This is The hanson Brothers Beating up on a National News Anchorman when he was doing a news interview(Believe it was Global News).
This was the "Grand Finale" of the evening of September,6th,2006....Not Expected by "Anyone"......Which put a end to all festivities that H.G.I. was putting on for Parrsboro and everyone who came to Parrsboro to see the Event..... What A Great Job That Was Done that night by the RCMP in keeping the public safe!
This was all because of the cars doing a performance at the intersection in front of the Irving and not within the fenced off area designated for the event to take place,in which they had done several times before within the two day period but if they did wrong who are we to say....As "We the people" cannot be the judge of this only the RCMP can be. At least this is what is being said in & out of town about this final Grand Slam finale as pictures below show and it did clear away the large amount of people who came to see the event off main street too!
Picture 1a - This is the start of H.G.I.'s Final Cascar performance on Sept.6th,2006 at the intersection where they did their burnouts which was outside the fenced off allowed area....then they perceeded onto main street area to continue their show for the people just to be stoped by the RCMP which ended the Festivities which left everyone "Dazed and Confused"...The reason was told that it was because of the intersection situation & it was against the law for them to continue in that manner and were told to park the vehicles as this was a saftey concern for the Public.

Parrsboro playing waiting game

PARRSBORO - Parrsboro plans to be ready when Headz Gamez International begins production here in 2008, but for now it's taking a wait and see approach before moving forward with infrastructure improvements.
"We're taking a measured response right now. We need information from the company as to what they want," Mayor Doug Robinson said yesterday. "It would make no sense rushing out to build a sewer system and sewage treatment plant only to find out later that we only needed it half as big."
Robinson said the town understands the challenge facing it as HGI prepares to begin operations in Parrsboro and it wants to be part of the solution. That's why it will be important for the company and the town to develop a working relationship so its needs can be addressed.
There has been a lot of excitement in town since the British Columbia-based company announced recently its plan to move half of its workforce from China to a new facility in Parrsboro, employing 1,500 people.
"Once we get the technical information we'll pass it on to the engineers and they can plan out what we need," said Robinson, adding he sees the province playing a role in helping the town improve its infrastructure. "It's all manageable providing we get the information on time and can get people working on it."
Along with upgrading the town's sewer system, the mayor expects the town to work on its water system to handle the demand while things like roads will come later.
"You can't run on the idea that it's going to be big because no one really knows what that means," he said.
He also admitted the public relations the town is getting because of HGI is worth its weight in gold.
"We couldn't afford that kind of PR," Robinson said."It's not only this, but the tidal power people have been talking of Parrsboro as its service base. There are a lot of things happening to the point it's kind of hard to get your head around."
While he expects there will be some people who will object to the town growing so much in a short period of time, the mayor expects more people will welcome the development thinking the community's youth will no longer have to leave Parrsboro to find their careers.

PMF - Parrsboro Metal fabricators is expected to "Boom" if all goes well on the new furnaces that it is checking into to build which are the new pellet furnaces and stoves which will be their own design - possible expansion of their work force by 3oo more and possible job guarantee for their present workforce....Will keep you up to date as info is avail.
Parrsboro Wharf is to go under re-fitting to keep it a viable wharf for parrsboro....
Possibly because of the great expectation of the new tidal power project that is to under-go in the Bay Of Fundy with the new under water turbine project which is expected to be a go in the near future....We can only hope as this is good for Parrsboro but also great for the enviroment as well....Much power to be generated just look at the Annapolis Royal venture which is very prosperous for Nova Scotia Power.Will keep you up to date as info becomes avail.

Headz Gamez International (H.G.I.) might be gone, but the new company that rose from its ashes has offered a sympathy/get well card to the town it flirted with last summer and fall.
In a May 18 e-mail to Parrsboro Town Council, Griddly Games operations officer Penny Osborn offered best wishes to the town, and further explained their feelings regarding the actions of former H.G.I. CEO and president Kerry Martens. Griddly Games Inc. has bought the rights and title of the Griddly Headz line of products.
“Many people, including the new owners of Griddly Games Inc., have been hurt by Kerry Martens both financially and emotionally,” said Osborn. “The town of Parrsboro has been victimized. The staff in Parrsboro were also left to face their families, friends and community with little support. These people were not responsible for the actions of Kerry Martens.”
The Parrsboro area erupted into a frenzy last summer when Martens arrived in town to announce plans for a board game development in Parrsboro that would employ 1,500 people. A local office was opened on Main Street, and real estate deals were pursued on properties such as the old post office building, the former Scott property, and the industrial park.
But the bottom fell out of the project later in the fall, when Martens sold his controlling interest in H.G.I. and stepped down as CEO and president. The company filed for bankruptcy soon after.
“(Kerry Martens) left the company in shambles,” she said. “Employees were not paid, bills were left unpaid and promises were broken.”
She said now is the time for all to heal, and hoped that the community did not hold the Parrsboro staff responsible for the events that transpired.
Mayor Doug Robinson said he hoped that everyone could just put the whole experience behind them.
